Marvl works with an internet site or off a local server. If your company has a common server that each workstation connects to, MARVL checks for a update and allows the user to download the update. MARVL has been tested with Windows based and Linux servers and Access 2003, 2007 and 2010. You may choose to zip your application before putting it on the remote location, MARVL will still recognize an update is available and download the zip file.

No more having to go to each workstation and download an update. Upload the new version and let your users download the update.

There are three versions of MARVL to choose from.

MARVL is compatible with Access 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010

When you purchase MARVL, you will receive 2 Access versions. One mdb and one accdb.

Installing MARVL:
Choose which version you want to use in your application (mdb or accdb).

Import the table "usysUpdate", two modules named "basRemoteUpdate" and "ComDlg" and the form named "usysUpdateAdmin".
The form contains the interface code you can use in your own "Main" form or "Switchboard" or use the supplied form.

You may copy and paste the forms code into your own form along with the appropriatre controls. That's it!
The controls "txtStatus" and "txtStatus1" are the controls which will advise when there is an update available.

Website function setup:
Upload your new version, along with a text file containing the new version number.

MARVL will also work on a network drive
Simply put your new version zipped file and the text file in a folder on the network and point MARVL to the files.

If an update is identified as being available, the "Update Available click here to download" becomes visible. Simply click on
this to open a "Save To" dialog box. Save to your hard drive and install. Request more information.....
